What do meat sticks and cat tails have in common?  They’re both in this week’s News Briefs!

Now, if I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times, I’m not a size queen, but I can be impressed.  Especially when it comes to meat sticks.

And no one has made a bigger meat stick than

Wenzel’s Farm of Marshfield, Wisconsin.

The meat company recently celebrated its 75th anniversary by making the world’s longest meat stick, measuring 314 feet long.  314 feet?  That’s longer than a football field.

The meat stick was unfurled at in Wenzel's Park in Marshfield and was then measured by a Guinness World Records adjudicator.  And then was declared as the new world record.

The meat stick was then cut into portions and served to attendees.

Again, I’m not a size queen, but I can be impressed, even when it comes to cat tails.

Cygnus holds the Guinness Record for longest tail on a domestic cat ever at 17.58 inches long.  That’s almost one and a half times the length of a football.

However, Cygnus died in a house fire in 2017.

So why am I telling you this now?

There’s a new record holder for longest tail for a living cat and that record belongs to Altair, a half-brother of Cygnus!

William John Powers of Farmington Hills, shown here with Altair, owned Cygnus when the tragic fire occurred.

After the death of Cygnus, it took Powers a while before he was ready to have another cat in his life.  When he was ready, to have cats again, the woman who bred Cygnus let him know that a litter had been born and there was a silver male kitten who was the half-brother of Cygnus. Powers had to have him.

Altair’s tail is about an inch and half shorter than his dead brother’s, but he’s still in the Guinness book of World Records.

AND Altair isn’t the only record holder in the Powers House - his Savannah cat, Fenrear, is the tallest living domestic cat at 18.83 inches tall.

Altarcations is our response to the laws – both passed and proposed – falsely condemning the drag community for grooming and molesting children.  The evidence is overwhelming that it is members of the religious community that is more guilty of these crimes, and we’re here to prove it.

Let’s look at

Jacob Oldham who was arrested in July and charged with two counts of soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the Hendersonville, Tennesee Police. 

At the time, Oldman was executive director of a Christian Sports Ministry called Full Count.

Neil Pereira, a Catholic Priest in Peterborough, Ontario, was charged with sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference. 

Sexual interference is when a person, for a sexual purpose, touches, directly or indirectly, with a part of the body or with an object, any part of the body of a person under the age of 16 years.

An Ohio pastor,

Dennis Laferty plead guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of sexual imposition.

Oh, did I mention this was with his own daughters?

Laferty was the pastor at the Thompson United Methodist Church in Chardon, Ohio.

I bet his daughters would have enjoyed a Drag Queen Story Hour.
