Robert Anthony Jones, affectionately known as RAJ, was born and raised on Long Island, New York. Growing up in close proximity to the vibrant theatre scene of New York City, his parents exposed him to the magic of Broadway from a young age. It was during his school years that RAJ discovered his passion for acting when he was cast as a workhouse orphan in a production of Oliver.

After completing his high school education, RAJ pursued his dreams and enrolled at Hofstra University, where he honed his craft and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts. Armed with a solid foundation in Shakespeare and having mastered control over his Long Island accent, RAJ was ready to embark on his professional journey as an actor.

Theatre Career

Off-Broadway and Regional Theatre

RAJ's theatre career took off in earnest as he worked extensively in regional houses across the United States and internationally in Italy and Spain. His talents were also showcased in various Off-Broadway productions in New York City, including the original casts of "The Prince and the Pauper" at the historic Lamb's Theatre in Times Square and "Bunnicula" at the Daryl Roth Theatre, for which he contributed to the original cast recordings.

During this time, RAJ also starred in a children's video series called "Drew's Famous Magical Jukebox," an experience he fondly recalls and embraces with good humor.

Broadway Debut and National Tours

In a significant milestone, RAJ made his Broadway debut in the musical "Finding Neverland," where he played the roles of Mr. Cromer and Mr. Henshaw on and off for over a year. Eventually, he took over the role of Mr. Cromer and was part of the final company.

Shortly after, RAJ embarked on the National Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical "The Phantom of the Opera," playing the roles of Reyer and understudying Firmin with the Really Useful Theatre Company.

In addition to his remarkable stage career, RAJ has also ventured into film and television. He appeared in the movie "Queen of Knives" in 2024, portraying the character of Fred.
